We are very pleased to present animal rights activist, vegan and scholar Roger Yates as our first speaker of the year. Roger will speak primarily on Veganism in relation to climate change. This includes personal nutrition issues as well as global food security - something currently vexing minds at the UN. Mr Yates currently lectures with the Sociology department in UCD, and is quite prolific in his writings concerning relationships between humans and their nonhuman counterparts. You can check out his impressive repertoire here. Also, do take a look at his blogs to get a feel for what is to come - "On Human- | NonHuman Relations" and "Animal Rights Violations" Prepare yourselves. It's going to be an interesting evening.
