Welcome to the 2010 Leaf Living GreenPhoto Competition!

This year, whip out your camera and be creative! We want to celebrate and recognise the talent of the people who recognise and celebrate the Earth.

So what's the topic? The topic is "green"and it's open to YOUR interpretation, so get those creative juices flowing! Our hope for this competition is that people will be inspired by the beauty around them and will open their eyes to the millions of things that could represent "green".

So here is how it's going to work...

Step 1: Add Leaf Living as a contact on Flickr and join the "Green Photo Competition" Group

Step 2: Post your picture(s) with a brief description (100 words max) Please adhere to the Flickr Community Guidelines and only post your OWN photography

Step 3: At the end of June, we will announce the winner, as chosen by our guest judge and award winning Nature and Environment Photographer Dave Walsh The prize is a portable solar charger that allows you to power any hand-held device (including your compact camera!)using only energy from the sun.

          Pease Read the Terms and Conditions of the Photo Competition carefully:
1. This competition is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over, except for employees of Leaf Living Limited, their families or anyone else associated with the organisation of this competition.
2. All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3. Entries should be submitted by via Flickr to the Leaf Living Flickr Group named "GREEN Photo Competition". Entries must be labeled with the entrant's name and brief description (up to 100 words). Entrants should submit their own name, address and telephone number to marketing@leafliving.com . We regret that we are unable to accept postal entries.
4. All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date.
5. All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other photographic competition. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
6. Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, in consideration of their entering the Competition, each entrant grants licence to Leaf Living Limited to feature any or all of the submitted images in promotional material directly connected to this competition, including their publications, websites and/or in promotional material associated with this competition. When featuring entrants' work, Leaf Living will give credit to the entrants wherever humanly possible.
7. The winning entry will be that that is judged to be the most visually appealing, original and self-explanatory. The closing date is Wednesday, June 30th, 2010.
8. Once 100 applicants submit photographs to the competition, one entrant shall win one Freeloader Solar Charger, provided by Leaf Living Limited. The prize is subject to availability.
10. The winners may be required to take part in publicity.
11. The winner's name and county may be disclosed to anyone who writes within one month after the published closing date.
12. The prizes as described are available on the date of publication. All prizes are non transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
13. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
