Hi Everyone! We have something spectacular in store for you this time. Andrea Carroll, a member of Challenge Europe, will be speaking about the ways in which her and other advocates are working towards a low carbon future. That AND we'll be giving away 100 Organic Cotton Green Drinks Bags totally FREE. You heard us! The Project "Challenge Europe" was initiated by the British Council. It was initiated to accelerate the change towards a low carbon future. It allows people from all over Europe to collaborate towards the same goal with much more force than if they were working on small individual projects. Each of the participating countries select 15 "Climate Advocates" who commit their time to coming up with concrete solutions to reduce carbon use. These ideas are then pitched to investors and to organizations that help campaign to get these ideas realized. Andrea Carroll is a Dubliner who set up her own business "Arc Sustainability Consulting" in 2009 to help make the change towards a low carbon future on the island by working on the development of low carbon enterprises. Her Challenge Europe project is known as "Building the Enterprises of Tomorrow". She believes that to obtain the goal of this project, enterprises that are not considered "low carbon", should be pointed out and offered solutions to minimize this problem. These solutions are drawn from various sources: online communities, workshops etc. To hear more about this project and how to become a part of Challenge Europe, come to the next Green Drinks on April 6th at Messrs Maguire where Andrea Carroll will be speaking!
