Brompton P6R-X 2011 Folding Bike

Finally, the Brompton 2011 range is here! Bromptons are our favourite fold up bikes for a couple of very good reasons. They are one of only two frame manufactures still based in the UK and their product is impeccably designed. To quote Brompton themselves, “aesthetics are not a design consideration… although sound design usually looks good”.

The Brompton P6R-X 2011 Folding Bike has adjustable handlebars to make life easier for the touring cyclist. If you prefer a lighter handlebar, try the M type Brompton. The angled lower grips allow the rider to get down out of the wind and deliver real power to the pedals. The upper grips provide a welcome contrast after a long stretch of riding and also give great control for manoeuvring in traffic.

Taking all the great features of the P6R, the P6R-X adds titanium forks and back end along with a sealed bearing front hub and an aluminium seatpost for a lighter ride. A rear rack gives additional luggage-carrying capacity and the six well-spaced gears will handle almost all gradients encountered on a long ride.

The X in this P6R-X type Brompton means it is specially designed to be lightest bike possible with these features.
