It reflects our sustainable lifestyle ethos - simply that it is possible to live well without damaging our environment.
This set of two matching kitchen towels (1 tea towel, 1hand towel) are made from 100% organic cotton, grown in Turkey. They are handmade in Ireland, available in three unique designs inspired by the countryside and are the perfect finishing touch to any EcoKitchen!
Why organic cotton?
As a matter of fact, each year, non-organic cotton producers around the world use more than 10 per cent of the world's pesticides and nearly 25 per cent of the world's insecticides. In developing countries, 50 to 91 per cent of non-organic cotton workers experience some type of health disorder.
Growing organic cotton means health and ecological damage can be prevented so that human illness, environmental depletion and financial losses can be reduced. Organic cotton is less likely to trigger allergies: there are no harmful chemicals and organic cotton is more breathable.
