The Kasinthula Cane Growers Association (KCG) is our new sugar supplier. In March 2004, the village of Kapasule gained its own supply of safe, clean water from a borehole paid for with the fair trade premium. Although only 17 of the 500 people who live in the village are KCG farmers, the premium committee decided the whole community should benefit. Before then, women and children had to carry water in containers for 1.5 kilometres from Siseu, the nearest village with clean water.
