The Organic Directory is the only UK directory of organic goods, with over 2,000 listings of retailers, producers, wholesalers and manufacturers. This new edition is divided into three main sections: local retail outlets, organised by county; national mail order suppliers, organised by product category (such as textiles or baby foods); and businesstobusiness. Each entry combines factual details (name, address, website, email, phone and fax) with clear symbols showing the kinds of products sold. In addition, there will be a range of articles on many aspects of organic living, current topics of debatesuch as whether you should buy local, or buy organic.

The Editor: Clive Litchfield spent many years as a tour manager for bands such as UB40 and Duran Duran, and for the celebrity cricketer Ian Botham. He first became aware of the amount of chemicals we ingest in our food and their potential harm when he visited Ryton Organic Gardens in Warwickshire. He compiled the first Organic Directory in 1991, and seven editions have followed from the first selfpublished book. Clive lives in Moseley, near Birmingham.
