Supplied with two rechargeable AA batteries, the new Powerchimp can be charged from the USB socket on your laptop or via the mains or solar power (with the Solar Monkey sold seperately).

Powerchimp is developed with a safety feature to protect against overcharging.

Use powerchimp to power up these devices:
- Cellphones - approx. 48 hours standby time and 4 hours talk time
- iPod - approx 20 hours; 4 hours if watching video
- AA rechargeable batteries - charge in approx . 2 hours
- MP3/MP4s - approx 3 hours
- PSPs - approx 2.5 hours
- PDAs - approx 24 hours
Please note: actual times will vary according to charge in the batteries and quality of batteries used. Also, before you use your Powerchimp for the first time, charge it fully for 12 hours. Always use the same type of rechargeable batteries.
