Travel is convenient from Lower Herne Village, with Herne Bay railway station only 6 minutes away by car. Direct trains to London (St Pancras or Victoria, your choice!) take around 90 minutes and also connect to the wider Kent area. By car, you can explore the best Kent has to offer. Following the A299 leads you along the coast to Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs, while further inland you have access to Canterbury, Rochester and Ashford all under an hour.

Lower Herne is in prime catchment area for a variety of great schools, many of which are within walking distance. Ages 3-11 are catered to with Herne CofE Infant School and Nursery, Briary Primary School, Herne Bay Infant School and Hampton Primary. Herne CofE Junior School and Herne Bay Junior School are under 5 minutes away too. Herne Bay High School caters to older kids, while further afield in Canterbury students can seek out further education.
